Introduction
Direct heat glass art is an old and beautiful fan that, with high heat, creates extraordinary artworks. In this way, the artists melt the glass and convert the glass to the desired shapes using special tools and equipment. This technique allows artists to form glass with their own hands and turn it into complex and beautiful sculptures. This article examines the steps and techniques of manufacturing glass sculptures with direct heat and introduces the glass of Reza Daqaqin as a reference for observing and purchasing these artworks.
Equipment
To start making a glass sculpture at direct heat, the artist must prepare the right tools and equipment. These equipment usually includes: Glass Furnace: Glass furnaces are used to bring glass to high temperatures and melt it Torch: Toruses are used to generate direct heat and form glass during work Things and Tools: These tools are used to capture, rotate and shape the molten glass Desktop: A heat -resistant work desk is essential for placing tools and working on the glass. Safety Equipment: Using safety glasses, heat -resistant gloves, and suitable clothing to protect the artist from heat and potential risks.
Choosing the right glass
Choosing the type of glass used is one of the most important aspects of manufacturing glass sculpture with direct heat. Different types of glass have different characteristics and some are more suitable for this technique. Colored glass, matte glass and transparent glass each have a particular impact on the end result, and the artist must choose the type of glass according to the design.
Direct heat glass sculpture process
Glass preparation: The artist must choose raw glass and cut it into smaller pieces. Melting the glass: The glass parts are placed in the furnace to transfer the heat to them.
Temperature should be such that the glass melts and becomes liquid Glass formation: At this point, the artist can form the melted glass and give it the desired forms using specific tools. Using Blow Technique: In this way, the artist uses special pipes to brew the molten glass and make it different. This technique allows the artist to create sculptures with more detailed and more varied forms. Mastering this technique requires a lot of exercise and experience, because heat control and air pressure are very important. Decoration: The artist can combine colors and use different layers of glass, more depth and variety to works
forgive it. In this way, the glass sculptures made of direct heat not only have a variety of shapes but are also more attractive because of the game of colors and light. Gradual cooling: To complete glass sculptures, they need to be cool. This process is very important because sudden cooling can lead to failure or cracking of the glass. For this reason, artists usually use specific furnaces that can control temperature and gradually lower the temperature.
Advanced techniques in the manufacture of glass sculptures
Layout: Using different layers of glass and color, you can give the statue more depth and later. Mixing Colors: The combination of different colors while melting the glass allows the creation of beautiful and unique color spectra. Using the template: The use of pre -made molds allows for the creation of sophisticated and precise shapes.
